Two separate crashes on the Hutchinson River Parkway on Sunday has left two people dead.
Police say around 4 p.m., a 25-year-old man was merging onto the Hutchinson southbound when he collided with a 54-year-old man on a motorcycle.
Police say the motorcyclist died. The 25-year-old was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Notify NYC released an alert late Sunday afternoon that all lanes on the Hutchinson were closed at the Bruckner Expressway in both directions while first responders cleared the mess.
The crash comes after an an early morning accident that killed another man at the Hutchinson and Co-op City Boulevard.
Police say around 2:30 a.m., a  Subaru sedan was traveling northbound on the Hutchinson and collided with a BMW headed in the same direction.
The Subaru sedan then collided into a tree, killing the 22-year-old driver and critically wounding his passenger.
The driver of the BMW and her passenger were not injured and remained on the scene.
