Police say a 25-year-old driver has been hospitalized following a crash on the Throgs Neck Expressway.
According to police, the driver was behind the wheel of a sedan when he slammed into a tree near Exit 10 around 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The man was taken to the hospital with leg injuries. News 12 has learned the driver’s leg may have been amputated.
The driver is listed in stable condition at the hospital.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
