According to the NYPD, the four suspects approached the homeowners at around 3 a.m. Wednesday at the corner of the St. Lawrence and Lacome avenues and impersonated officers. They forced their way into two apartments, took out a gun and stole over $50,000 worth of property.
Police say they first entered a 59-year-old woman's apartment and forced her to the floor then stole $18,000 of her property. They went into a second apartment, hit a 40-year-old man and forced two other victims into another room. There, they stole almost $35,000 of property, according to the NYPD.
The homeowners were listed in stable condition.
The suspects fled in a late model four-door SUV. Police described them as slim men wearing all black clothing.
