The NYPD is asking for assistance in identifying the suspects linked to a robbery that took place in the Bronx.
Police say a 53-year-old male victim, the driver of a Kia van, collided with a Lexus SUV as they traveled northbound on Exterior Street back in March.
The collision caused both vehicles to hit a parked and unoccupied Honda sedan. After the collision, five men and the 23-year-old driver of the Lexus surrounded the victim’s vehicle.
Officials say one of the men climbed on top of the victim’s vehicle as the driver of the Lexus punched the victim in the face repeatedly. The victim ran from the scene, and two of the men entered his van and drove northbound on Exterior Street. Three men fled the scene inside of the Honda sedan.
The 23-year-old suspect, identified as Miquiel Guerrero, remained at the scene and was taken into custody. He was subsequently charged with robbery.
EMS transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi with lacerations to the face and a fractured eye socket.
Five other suspects are still on the loose.
