Five different women were attacked at a Brooklyn subway station in a similar manner in less than two months. Police now believe at least four of the attacks are connected.
Commuters in East Williamsburg say they are watching their backs after several women, all commuting after dark at the Morgan Avenue subway station, were attacked.
The attacks occurred as women were either walking, were near steps, or on a ramp alone when they were all punched in the face.
The victims said the suspect took off after the attacks. All of the women range in age from 24 to 32.
Many in the neighborhood tell News 12 the stop is remote and that the area is filled with construction.
Police arrested and charged 50-year-old Benny Watts with three counts of assault in connection to the first four attacks, but say they are unsure if the fifth is related.
