According to police, a woman snatched money out of the 7-year-old boy’s hand as he was trying to pay for fruit at a store on Jerome Avenue.
Police say when the kid’s mother stepped in, she was punched in the face and was treated for her injuries.
The attacker remains at large, anyone with information is asked to call police.
