Police searching for 3 men involved in home invasion and robbery

Police say on Sunday, Jan. 12, just before midnight three people are seen walking into an apartment building at East 172nd Street and Stratford Avenue.
Police say once inside the building, the three people forced their way into an apartment with a 41-year-old man and 47-year-old man inside.
Sources tell News 12 the 47-year-old resisted and was pistol whipped. While the 41-year-old was shot in the stomach twice.
Officers say the three individuals then stole $4,500 and jewelry before taking off.
Both victims were taken to Jacobi Hospital with serious injuries. At this time, we do not have an update on their condition.
