The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the death of a man who was found dead on the shoreline of Newark Bay in Bayonne.

Police responded to a report of a possible body on the side of an apartment building. Prosecutors say when police arrived, the body of the man was recovered behind the building in the area of 249 Avenue A.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. He has not been identified yet.
