Police: Bomb threat evacuates 2 Brooklyn high schools, no suspicious devices found

Students and staff returned to class today after a bomb threat was cleared at two high schools in Brooklyn.
Police say they got a tip around 8 a.m. Monday that someone made bomb threats to both Edward R. Murrow High School in Midwood and New Utrecht High School in Bensonhurst. Both schools were evacuated.
The NYPD says officers searched both schools and found no suspicious devices, so students and staff were allowed back into both buildings.
The Department of Education released a statement saying, "The safety of our students and staff is our top priority, and the NYPD quickly investigated this threat and deemed it unfounded and the students returned to class."
