Police: DOE employee charged in hit-and-run that fatally struck pedestrian

Police say 35-year-old Demoy Adams was traveling down East Fordham Road and Morris Avenue on Aug. 28 when he fatally struck one woman, and injured another.

A Department of Education employee is facing charges following a fatal hit-and-run, according to police. 
Police say 35-year-old Demoy Adams was traveling down East Fordham Road and Morris Avenue on Aug. 28 when he fatally struck one woman, and injured another. 
Police say Adams failed to properly navigate the road and his vehicle hit a 44-year-old woman. They say Adams then hit a metal object on the sidewalk which struck a 53-year-old woman. 
Police say the vehicle did not remain on scene.
