One man was killed and another was injured in a shooting in the Baychester section of the Bronx.
Police say the gunman walked up to a car on Ely Avenue just after 5 a.m. Sunday and fired multiple shots inside the vehicle, hitting 23-year-old Jordan Jackwette in the head. Jackwette was pronounced dead on arrival at Jacobi Medical Center.
Police say an 18-year-old man who was also in the car with Jackwette was shot in the leg.
Family and friends say Jackwette was coming back from a party in Mount Vernon at the time of the shooting. Jackwette leaves behind a little girl.
Police are searching for the suspect.
