Police: Inmate escapes from custody in Brooklyn

Police say Joseph King, 21, was being transported into Brooklyn Central Booking when he was able to free a hand from his handcuffs and flee.

Authorities say an inmate escaped police custody Monday afternoon.



According to police, Joseph King, 21, was being transported into Brooklyn Central Booking when he was able to free a hand from his handcuffs and flee.



King was last seen running into the Hoyt-Schermerhorn street subway station.



Anyone with information on where King might be is asked to call police.
