Police looking to ID man accused of attempted rape on NYC transit

The NYPD is asking for help from the public in identifying the suspect connected to an attempted rape on a train Wednesday evening.

The NYPD is asking for help from the public in identifying the suspect connected to an attempted rape on a train Wednesday evening.
Police say a suspect approached a 21-year-old woman inside of a northbound E train heading to the Canal Street subway station at 10:20 p.m. The suspect allegedly pushed the victim into the corner of the train and attempted to rape her. The individual fled the train at the Canal Street subway station toward another train in the station.
The victim is expected to be OK.
