A man is in critical condition after being struck by a car on the Hutchinson River Parkway Friday night, police say.

Police tell News 12 that the 35-year-old driver attempted to avoid the 20-year-old victim by swerving to the left side of the street.

The victim was still hit by the side of the car.

News 12 is told the driver remained on the scene.

No arrests have been made.
