Police say a man has died and multiple cars were destroyed after a driver lost control of his car in Williamsbridge.
The collision took place on East 222nd Street and Bronxwood Avenue at around 5 a.m.
Police say a black BMW was speeding when it crashed into a parked red car. Police believe the red car then spun up into a tree and fell back down into a line of parked cars.
The 31-year-old driver was pronounced dead at Montefiore Hospital. A 23-year-old passenger is said to be in stable condition at Jacobi Medical Center.
Police have not yet determined if speed was the only factor that led to the crash.
