Police say a man who had allegedly threatened his girlfriend with a knife fell to his death from a fire escape early Sunday morning.
It happened at 786 E. 182nd Street in West Farms around 3:30 a.m. Police say 27-year-old Pedro Polanco had fought with his girlfriend and threatened her with a knife inside their apartment.
The woman kicked him out, and he allegedly attempted to re-enter the home through the fire escape. That's when police say he slipped and fell.
Polanco was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he later died.
Police say they do not suspect foul play in Polanco's death.
