Police: Man in custody in connection to body found in Fordham
Police say a man is in custody after another man was found dead in an apartment in Fordham Friday.
Officials identified the suspect as 37-year-old Charles Votaw.
Neighbors say they called police after noticing a foul smell in the building around 5 p.m.
Officers discovered a man who was unconscious and unresponsive, with his ankles bound to his waist.
EMS pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Votaw faces charges of assault, concealing a corpse and tampering with physical evidence.
