Police say a man was killed and another man was injured in a shooting on Stanley Avenue Friday night.

Police say they responded to a 911 call around 10 p.m. for shots being fired in the area of Stanley Avenue and Crescent Street.

When officers arrived, they found a 37-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his chest and groin, as well as in possession of a firearm. He was transported to Brookdale Hospital where he is in stable condition and in custody.

A second man was found with a gunshot wound to his face and chest. He was pronounced dead at Brookdale Hospital.

Charges are pending and the investigation remains ongoing.
