Police: Man recovering after being shot 3 times in Morris Heights

According to the NYPD, shots were fires on the corner of Jerome Avenue and East 175th Street just after 8:30 p.m. Monday.

The shot struck a 23-year-old man in the ankle, shoulder and left bicep. He was rushed to the hospital where doctors say he’s expected to make a full recovery, police say.

Police say the three men they believe to be responsible for the shooting have not been caught. Anyone with information on the trio is asked to call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
