Police have released surveillance images of a man accused of robbing and assaulting senior citizens in the Bronx.
The suspect robbed at least two seniors between Dec. 12 and Dec. 17, according to police.
The first incident happened on Dec. 12 inside a residential building on Stratford Avenue and E. 172nd Street.
Police say the suspect walked up to a 72-year-old woman and stole her purse after a brief struggle.
The second incident happened on Dec. 17 when the suspect approached a 92-year-old woman while she walked to church on Stratford Avenue.  Police say the suspect grabbed the victim's purse and threw her to the ground.
Hortencia Rodriguez tells News 12 that she was on her way to Mass at Saint Joan of Arc Church on Stratford Avenue around 8 a.m. when she was robbed. She says her purse, which contained about $75, her ID and Social Security number, was stolen.
"I have somebody cover my eyes, like my head, and put me on the ground near the ice,” she says.
Rodriguez says she doesn't know what the man looked like and that the incident happened very fast.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
