Sources: Man shot on Cross Bronx Expressway during road rage incident

The victim escaped the shooter, exited the expressway and called 911 from a gas station at East 175th Street and Webster Avenue.

Police say a 31-year-old man was shot in the back in Tremont, just before 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

Sources tell News 12 that the victim was on a two-wheeled vehicle on the Cross Bronx Expressway at the time of the shooting. They say the shooting stemmed from a road rage incident.

The victim escaped the shooter, exited the expressway and called 911 from a gas station at East 175th Street and Webster Avenue.

Police say the 31-year-old victim was transported to St. Barnabus Hospital, where he is expected to be OK, according to police.

No arrests have been made.
