Police are searching for a man wanted in connection to a pattern of robberies in the 44th Precinct.
Authorities say the suspect has targeted two men in the past nine days.
A 71-year-old man told authorities he was near 165th Street and River Avenue in Concourse Village around 6 p.m. Saturday when he was ambushed from behind. The victim says the suspect pulled out a knife and demanded cash.
News 12 is told the suspect fled with a cellphone and $250.
Just over a week earlier, the same man targeted his first victim on the same block around the same time.
A 58-year-old man says he was near McClellan Street when a man threatened him with a knife.
In that incident, police say he stole $50.
Neither victim was hurt.
Authorities are offering a cash reward for anyone that has information that helps lead to an arrest and indictment.
