Police: Man wanted for raping 35-year-old woman in the Bronx

The victim was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln in stable condition.

Investigators say a man accused of raping a woman in the Bronx is on the loose.

Police say a 35-year-old woman was walking on Bergen Avenue and East 149th Street at around 1 a.m. Monday when she was approached by a man asking her for directions.

Police shared a picture of the suspect who forcibly raped the 35-year-old woman. He then fled on foot eastbound on East 149th Street toward Brook Avenue.

The victim was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln in stable condition.
