A mother and her young child are recovering from injuries after a dog bit them on Monday.
Yonkers police say the incident happened just after 12 a.m. at 279 South Broadway.
The mother says a neighbor's pit bull bit them as she and her 2-year-old daughter were leaving the building.
Police say the girl suffered a cut above her left eyebrow and the mother was bit near her left ankle. They say both injuries are minor.
Police say an "animal bite form" was filled out and submitted to the county’s Health Department.
