Police: Pair wanted for home invasion, slashing at Castle Hill Houses
Two intruders are wanted for a home invasion in the Castle Hill Houses early this morning, according to police.
They say it happened just after 1 a.m.
News 12 is told the suspects entered the apartment by knocking on the door. They say a 42-year-old man looked through the peep hole and opened the door, stating he thought he recognized the man.
This is when investigators say the other suspect punched the victim in the face and asked, “Where's the money?"
Police say the victim told the suspects he was apartment sitting. Unable to find any cash, officials say the two suspects, who were wearing ski masks, took a bag with papers and a cellphone before fleeing the apartment.
Police say one of the suspects slashed a 33-year-old woman in the face.
Both victims were taken to the hospital and are expected to be OK.
Detectives are working to identify the suspects.
