Police released new photos of the male suspect linked to shooting an officer in Queens Wednesday.
The 22-year-old officer who was shot was trying to break up a fight on a Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus where two people were arguing over a seat. The suspect pushed the officer before running off.
Once officers caught up with the suspect, police say he fired a bullet into the officer's hip. They also say the officer’s partner shot at the suspect twice, but it’s not clear if he was hit.
As of Thursday morning, officials say the officer is in stable condition. Officials say this brazen attack is just another reason to get guns off the street.
The NYPD says the man is armed and dangerous, they're offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest. The suspect was last seen on 161st Street and Hillside Avenue wearing a white T-shirt and black pants.
Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-COP-SHOT.
