Police release identity of man fatally stabbed in Concourse Village

Police have released the identity of a man who is accused of a fatal stabbing in Concourse Village.

Concourse Village native Joel Algarin was identified as the man killed by Tyquan McBride.

Officers responded to East 162nd Street on the evening of Nov. 8 and found the 48-year-old man with a stab wound to his neck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

NYPD detectives say 33-year-old McBride was arrested and charged for the death of Algarin, just one day after the incident.

Another man was found injured at the scene but was treated at a hospital.
