Police release surveillance video of man forcibly touching, punching woman in Williamsburg

A video showing a woman being grabbed inappropriately as she walked down the street in Williamsburg is under investigation, police say.

A video showing a woman being grabbed inappropriately as she walked down the street in Williamsburg is under investigation, police say.
In the video, the man comes up behind the 26-year-old victim and grabs her. She immediately fights back, turns around and tries to slap the man who grabbed her. He ducked out of the way and then punched her in the face several times.
Police say the incident took place Sunday around 2:15 a.m. near Havemeyer Street and South Fourth Street in Williamsburg.
Police say the suspect is in his 30s, about six feet tall and weighs 150 pounds. He was wearing a dark colored baseball hat, a durag, denim shorts, white sneakers and a white T-shirt with dark colored sleeves and the number “88” on the back at the time.
