Police are looking for two men they say robbed innocent bystanders on the sidewalk in what they are calling an armed robbery pattern.
The incidents happened close to Yankee Stadium, where authorities believe two suspects randomly picked their victims.
Police say on Monday and Tuesday of last week, the two suspects went on a robbing spree, with one of the crimes caught on surveillance video.
In the video, one suspect is seen grabbing a 29-year-old man by his neck as his is sitting on a stoop, while the second suspect pulls out a gun and points it toward witnesses on the street, threatening their lives.
Authorities say they stole the man's bracelet and ripped his chain off his neck, cutting him in the process. The incident happened around 9 a.m. on May 16 at 1055 Walton Ave.
Police say the men committed their first crime the day before, less than a mile away on Nelson Avenue. Officials say they threw a 19-year-old man against a car and robbed him of his phone, cash and also ripped his chain off his neck, all while pointing a revolver toward him.
Police say both men were armed during the incidents and were wearing dark clothes. They are both believed to be in their 20s.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
