Police release video of suspect wanted in shooting of 80-year-old man in the Bronx

Authorities say the victim was walking near East 174 Street and Vyse Avenue with his family around 5 p.m. Monday when he was shot on the buttocks. Officers say he is expected to recover.

Police released video of a man they say is connected to the shooting of an 80-year-old man in the Bronx.
Authorities say the victim was walking near East 174 Street and Vyse Avenue with his family around 5 p.m. Monday when he was shot on the buttocks. Officers say he is expected to recover.
In surveillance video, the suspect can be seen firing a gun and then running off.
According to police, the suspect was shooting toward a car, and the 80-year-old victim was an innocent bystander caught in the middle.
Detectives released another video that they say appears to show the suspect standing on a sidewalk while smoking with a group of people.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to call police.
