Police rescue dog stranded on top of Bronx building
Police say they rescued a dog that was stranded on top of the awning of a building in Mott Haven.
It happened Wednesday at a building on East 137th Street.
Police used a ladder to reach the dog and removed it from the awning. 
Neighbors in the area say the pit bull is a friendly dog, and they don't know how it got on top of the roof.
