Police are looking for five thieves in connection to a violent home invasion in Longwood in February.
Police say five men, four of them masked, knocked on the door of a 27-year-old man's apartment around 12:30 a.m. on Feb. 13. When the resident opened the door, the suspects forced their way through it.
One of the masked men slashed the victim's face with an unknown weapon. Another held him at gunpoint while the rest robbed him of the two chains around his neck, the authorities say.
All five suspects ran from the crime scene, taking nothing else from the victim or the apartment. The victim has been treated and released from the hospital.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
