A teenager was sent to the hospital after an argument turned violent in Mott Haven last Friday.
Police say it happened in front of a bodega on Third Avenue near east 141 Street.
According to the victim, she was hanging out with a group of friends around 6 p.m. when they got into an argument with a man. She says the situation took a violent turn when they began to fight with him.
Police say they started to punch him before he pulled out a knife and retaliated.
The 13-year-old girl is recovering after News 12 is told she was stabbed multiple times in the neck and back. Police say she is in stable condition.
Police say the man is between 20 to 30 years old and was last seen wearing a red cap.
Police are offering a reward for information that leads to an arrest.
