yesterdayAn Uber driver was shot while sitting in his car in Coney Island Friday night, police say.
News 12 is told that a man approached the 30-year-old driver and shot him in the right arm and torso just before 11 p.m. right outside 23-17 Mermaid Ave.
The driver was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The shooter fled the scene on a bicycle. He was last seen wearing an orange-hooded sweatshirt, light-colored shoes and a fanny pack on his shoulder. He is believed to be in his 20s.
