Police say a woman was shot outside a baby shower celebration overnight in Cypress Hills.

The party was taking place at King Studio Hall on Atlantic Avenue when police say gunfire erupted. They say the victim, a 25-year-old, was shot four times – two to the torso, one to her wrist and one to her leg.

The woman was taken to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition. It was not immediately clear if the woman was a guest of the baby shower.

Police have not yet made any arrests and are urging the public to call them with any useful information.
