A neighborhood park in Port Morris Park is getting a complete makeover.

Pontiac Park is slated to get over $7 million in renovations as part of the city's Community Parks Initiative to redesign and rebuild aging neighborhood parks over the next 10 years. A community advocate says Pontiac Park hasn't had a full transformation since 1997.

The city's Parks Department wants to hear from the community and will be hosting a virtual meeting at 6 p.m. Feb. 15 to get public input on what residents would like to see.
