Before Pope Francis makes his way to the states next week, he's making a three-day stop in Cuba.
The pontiff will arrive in Havana Saturday, hoping to spread a message of peace and unity in the wake of the island nation's renewed ties with the United States.
The pontiff is already getting a jump start on sharing a message with Cubans and Americans. He spoke remotely with a young group of students in Havana and New York, promising to push for better diplomatic relations between their two countries.
A bullet was buried at the base of an olive branch at the end of the conversation -- a symbol of the pontiff's hope for peace.
The pope's message to all Cubans was broadcast Thursday night on state television. It was the first time a sitting pope previewed his visit on TV before his arrival.
