Restaurant Porto Salvo in Morrisania offered a preview Monday of some dishes that will be available during the upcoming Savor the Bronx Restaurant Week.

The event, now in its seventh year, allows diners to try set menus at special prices or get deals on select dishes at more than 30 participating restaurants in the Bronx.

Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. Came out to try some of the available dishes and show support for local restaurants.

Officials and participating restaurant owners say it's important to showcase the varied culinary options in the Bronx.

The 12-day event begins Nov. 6.
