Postal truck theft leaves BX residents without mail

Residents in Country Club have gone weeks with missing mail due to a theft targeting a U.S. Postal truck.
News 12 The Bronx has learned the theft happened on Feb. 16, when nine bags of mail were stolen from a postal truck parked on Stadium Avenue while the mail carrier was delivering mail.
The U.S. Postal Inspection Service has confirmed the crime and says it is taking the incident very seriously. It says the person who committed the crime will be found and brought to justice.
The U.S. Postal Inspection Service says it is in the process of notifying residents who live in the affected areas. 
Those who feel they are a victim of this crime are asked to call the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at 1-877-876-2455.
