The power has been fully restored in Manhattan Beach after a semitruck took down eight utility poles Monday morning.
While power has been restored, a portion of the impacted road is still shut down. As of 12 p.m., Oriental Boulevard was still closed from Irwin Street to Ocean Avenue as crews made repairs.
The semitruck crash started around 10:30 a.m. Monday when the 18-wheeler struck a power pole and caused eight poles to snap to the ground.
Close to 400 customers lost power. Con Edison says it was fully restored by Tuesday afternoon.
Police say the driver sped off and is still on the loose.
