After a delay, students finally met their teachers in person Monday for the first time as they returned to the classroom for the first time since March.
With a quick temperature check, a squirt of hand sanitizer and a gloved high five, it’s time for school for 3-K, pre-K and District 75 students.
Parents in Flatbush tell News 12 they are impressed with the safety measures in place, including posters with safety details listed around the schools.
However, some parents feel the city’s blended learning schedule is difficult.
Mom Mia Pearman says the schedule, especially if you have more than one kid, is a nightmare.
“It’s like four-dimensional chess to understand the calendar,” says Pearman.
She says her kids have one or two days a week of in-person learning, but also certain rotational weeks with extra days and almost no days overlapping.
“In terms of child care and trying to work, it’s impossible for parents” says Pearman.
Meanwhile, older kids are slated to go back on a staggered schedule over the next week and a half.
