The pride flag hanging outside a popular barbershop in Crown Heights was ripped from its hinges on Monday and the whole incident was captured on video.
Khane Kutzwell, the owner of Camera Ready Kutz, says she’s been left with hate on her doorstep.
In the video, someone is seen riding upon their scooter and jumping in an effort to rip off the flag a total of three times.
Kutzwell says she also kept finding mysterious bags of dog feces outside the 4-year-old storefront.
She says the shop was started as a space meant to be inclusive for all people. It’s a female, Black and LGBTQ-owned shop.
"It just didn't make any sense. We’re in 2021. Why is this still happening? It just doesn't make any sense. It's so stupid. It's like, what adult is going out of their way to be so malicious?" said Kutzwell.
A report was filed with the NYPD but no one has been held accountable for the incident at this time.
It is not clear if the flag incident and the feces incident are connected at this time.
