To close out Women's History Month, News 12 is featuring one Prospect Heights-based bakery owned by women.
The female-run and female-founded team at The Leland Baking House spend their days, sifting, kneading, and experimenting with ingredients to create their perfectly crafted hand-made baked goods.
The Leland Baking House officially opened about one month ago after the space was transformed from a basement to a fully equipped kitchen space, underneath the Leland Eating and Baking House in Prospect Heights. The female team says they bake treats like fresh sourdough loafs, cinnamon rolls, zucchini bread and more.
The team offers fresh baked breads to be picked up by customers every Thursday so run, don't walk, to get your hands on those treats.
