Spring may have just arrived, but many residents are already thinking about their summer bodies.
News 12 spoke with personal trainer Nicole Vitale, who explains how to create a home gym for under $100.
Resistance bands can be purchased for cheap and have multiple uses, she says.
Lightweight dumbbells cost from $12 to $14, she says, and can be used for more than a dozen different exercises.
For cardio, she recommends jump roping in three- or five-minute intervals.
A yoga mat provides support for floor workouts like crunches.
A stability ball can work both the core muscles and serve as a bench, she says.
In all, the cost can be as low as $85.
