A record-breaking number of travelers are expected to travel by air and the road for the holiday.

According to AAA, you still have time to hit the road with minimal traffic before 10 a.m.

The worst times to leave is between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. with travel time expected to be bumper to bumper.

Over 8 million people are expected to travel by air this year, this is the first time the number of domestic air travel surpasses 8 million.

Top destinations this holiday season are all warm spots like Orlando, Miami, Cancun, and Punta Cana.

A total of 4.9 million travelers are also expected to get to their destinations by bus, train or cruise - a travel category that AAA says has seen a major increase of 25% post pandemic due to the demand for cruises.
