A person had to be removed from a car after they became trapped following an overnight crash in Redding.
It happened just after 2 a.m. Sunday on Lonetown Road. Redding police say a car was traveling northbound when the driver lost control around a curve and struck a tree.
Redding firefighters were called and extricated the trapped passenger.
The passenger and the driver were taken to Danbury Hospital. Police say the passenger sustained serious injuries.
The incident is being examined by the Redding police crash investigation team.
