Remnants of Laura bring periods of rain, chance of storms into the evening
The remnants of Hurricane Laura made for a soggy Saturday in the city, with steady rain through much of the day and a chance for some thunderstorms this evening.
News 12 meteorologists say we could see some scattered pop-up storms through the evening. Any storms could pack the chance for gusty winds and lightning.
Overnight, it will be mostly cloudy and breezy with scattered showers and lows around 68 degrees. The wind will be SW/NW at 10-18 mph.
Showers are expected to gradually end overnight leading into Sunday. The rest of the weekend is expected to be breezy and sunny.
The moderate to heavy rainfall will clear up heading into Sunday, which will be sunny and breezy with a high of 80 degrees.
