Residents cite concerns about mold, discolored ceilings at Riverdale Key Food

Residents who shop at the Key Food on Riverdale Avenue say they are concerned about the moldy, discolored ceilings there.
News 12 visited the store and saw the mold, as well as peeling paint and holes in the ceiling.
“Who wants to get sick? Just going in a supermarket to buy food you're going to put in your stomach,” said Jennifer Patuleia, a Riverdale resident, who says the mold in the store made her sick, forcing her to use an inhaler.

News 12 reached out to the store, the company, the building owners and the state’s Department of Agriculture and Markets and is waiting to hear back from them all.
