From Italian to French to Latin and everything in between, Bronx restaurants are prepping for "Savor the Bronx."
Patricia's, an Italian restaurant in Morris Park, will participate in the restaurant week for the first time, joining dozens of other businesses. About 40 restaurants are participating this year, making it one of the biggest years for the event.
"We're located in the Bronx for the last 25 years, and it really means a lot to us," says Alessandro Borgognone, of Patricia's. "It has so much to offer," he says, referring to restaurants and diversity in the borough.
Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. agrees. "More and more people are starting to discover and rediscover the Bronx," he says. "Tourism is up 14 percent last year."
Savor the Bronx, which starts Nov. 2 and continues through Nov. 13, started five years ago. Participating businesses are offering coupons for the event.
