Ridgefield theater dedicated to employing adults with disabilities reopens

A Ridgefield first-run movie theater dedicated to employing adults with disabilities is back open.
After closing for a second time to allow staff and customers to be vaccinated, the Prospector Theater is back open this week.
The theater is dedicated to solving a problem that's gotten worse over the past year - employing people with disabilities.
Operations manager Ryan Wenke says adults with disabilities are employed for virtually all jobs at the theater.
Diane Sludock loves working with customers - something she missed dearly over the last year.
The Prospector was open from last June to this April - but with reduced capacity and a lot of staff working from home. Prospects say nothing feels better than getting that independence back.
The Prospector Theater is currently showing "Cruella" and "A Quiet Place," with more first-run movies coming later this summer.
